Energy sharing in co-ownership
What is energy sharing? It’s investing in a collective system for producing energy together with the co-owners of a building and then distributing the surplus of produced energy to the residents in that building.
Until recently, collectively investing in green energy in an apartment building was not financially attractive. This has become interesting thanks to a new provision in the Energy Decree. Effective 1 April 2023, self-generated energy can be shared and sold with/to the residents or owners of an apartment building.
General conditions:
All participants must have a digital meter
The generated energy must be consumed immediately
Note: it is not necessary for all involved to have the same energy supplier.

What should you really expect from your syndic today?
A syndic looks after your building. Everyone knows that. However, what that actually means today goes far beyond what most co-owners assume—and beyond what many syndics deliver.
The co-owners’ association refuses to carry out necessary works
In that case, the property manager or co-owner can take several steps.
Mandatory asbestos certificate
When selling properties built before 2001, an asbestos certificate has been compulsory since 23 November 2022.
